These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to Memoscope (the “App”), developed and published by Busra Hekimoglu, an independent developer publishing as NoxTri (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own personal use. Because you get the App from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) also applies; these Terms add to it.
2. Your recordings
The recordings you make and import are yours. We receive no copy of them and claim no rights to them. You are responsible for having the right to record: in some places, recording a conversation needs the consent of everyone in it, so follow the law where you record.
3. The sound map is automatic
The music, talking and quiet labels come from automatic on-device sound recognition and can be wrong; Skip silence may skip something quiet you wanted to hear, and a clip made from a Mark is a suggestion, so check its start and end. Do not rely on the map alone to review an important recording. The original audio is always kept in full.
4. Your data and backups
Recordings are stored only on your device; there is no cloud sync in this version. If you delete a recording or the App, or lose your device without a backup, your recordings are lost and we cannot restore them. Keep backups of the recordings that matter to you.
5. The free version and Memoscope Pro
Recording, sound maps, playback, speed, loops, skipping the silence, clips (making, trimming, naming, tagging and playing them), Mark, tags and sharing a whole recording are free; the free version imports 5 files at a time. The optional “Memoscope Pro” unlocks sharing a clip as its own audio file, sharing all clips of a recording as one file and importing any number of files at once. Pro is a one-time purchase (non-consumable): there is no subscription and nothing renews. The App shows its price before you buy. Pro belongs to the Apple Account that bought it and can be shared with Family Sharing. To get Pro back after reinstalling or on a new device, use Settings → Restore purchases, or the same button on the Pro screen.
6. Payment and refunds
Apple processes the purchase through the App Store under its terms. We cannot issue refunds ourselves: request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple refunds a purchase, the Pro features are turned off; your recordings and the free features stay as they are.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to copy, modify, reverse engineer, redistribute or resell the App, except as allowed by law, and not to use the App in any unlawful way, including recording people unlawfully.
8. Intellectual property
The App, including its design, text, graphics and code, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you; your recordings stay yours.
9. Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that it will be error-free or always available.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including lost recordings. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
