HOW IT WORKS

  1. Record or import

    Tap Record and keep going with the screen locked; the file is written to your iPhone as you go. Tap Mark right after a good moment and it becomes a clip. Or import audio files from Voice Memos or the Files app: five at a time for free, any number with Pro.

  2. See the map

    Apple’s built-in sound recognition runs on your iPhone and splits each recording into music, talking and quiet. Short blips are folded into their neighbours.

  3. Keep the moments

    Turn any part into a clip, trim its start and end on a close-up waveform, then name it and tag it. The Clips tab gathers clips from every recording, so a walk full of video ideas or a jam full of choruses ends up as a list you can use.

Skip the silence
Play everything, skip the silence, or play only your clips, one after another. Loop a part to practise the same bar again and again.
Slow it down
Play from 0.5× to 2× without changing the pitch, and skip 15 seconds back or forward.
Tag and filter
Tag recordings and clips by song, project or topic, then filter by tag. Search looks in titles, clip names and tags; imported files keep their file names.
Light or dark, English or Turkish
Follow the system or pick Light or Dark, and English or Turkish, in Settings. A short intro shows how it all works.
Originals stay intact
Memoscope never changes your audio. The map is only a set of time ranges, and sharing makes a new copy.
