These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to Sunbolt (the “App”) and Sunbolt Pro, developed and published by Busra Hekimoglu, an independent developer publishing as NoxTri (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own personal use. Because you get the App from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) also applies, and these Terms add to it.
2. An alarm is not a guarantee
Sunbolt schedules alarms with iOS through AlarmKit, so whether they ring depends on iOS and your iPhone. An alarm may not ring if alarm permission is off in iOS Settings, if your iPhone is off or out of battery, if the App has been deleted, or if iOS behaves unexpectedly. Do not rely on Sunbolt alone where missing an alarm could cause harm (for example, medication, flights or safety at work). After you set up a new alarm, try it with Settings › Night test.
3. Do missions safely
The Steps mission asks you to walk. Mind your surroundings, and do not do a mission where it is unsafe. If you cannot finish a mission, hold the Emergency dismiss button for 10 seconds to turn the alarm off; this breaks your streak. If a mission goes wrong three times, it switches to an easy Math mission; if the camera or step counting is not available, a Switch to a Math mission button appears.
4. Sunbolt Pro, free trial and subscription
Sunbolt’s free version is free with no time limit. Sunbolt Pro is optional and is sold through the Apple App Store in two ways:
- Yearly: an auto-renewing yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial ($9.99 a year in the US). Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase or, with the free trial, when the trial ends. The subscription renews automatically every year unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends. To keep the trial free, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Lifetime: a one-time purchase ($19.99 in the US), not a subscription, with Family Sharing included.
The App and the App Store show the price in your currency before you buy. You can manage or cancel the subscription in the App under Settings › Manage subscription, or in iOS Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. If you allowed notifications when you started the free trial, we remind you 24 hours before it ends. You can restore your purchases with Settings › Restore purchases. Apple processes payments and refunds under its own terms; refund requests go to Apple.
5. Your data and backups
Your alarms, mornings, codes and objects are stored only on your device; there is no iCloud sync. If you delete the App or lose your device without a backup, that data is lost and we cannot restore it.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to copy, modify, reverse engineer, redistribute or resell the App, except as allowed by law, and not to use the App in any unlawful way.
7. Intellectual property
The App, including its design, text, sounds, graphics and code, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you.
8. Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that it will be error-free, that every alarm will ring, or that it will always be available.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including an alarm that did not ring or rang late. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
