How do I play Impostor?
Pass the phone around: everyone holds the card to see the secret word, except the impostor, who only sees the category and a small hint. Take turns saying one word each, discuss and vote. A caught impostor who guesses the word still steals the points.
How do I play Describe It?
Two teams take turns. The describer explains the word on the card to their team without saying any of its five forbidden words. Correct, Pass (limited) and Forbidden keep the score, and you can fix mistakes after each turn.
How do I play Say It Backwards?
One player hums the song whose title and artist are on the screen, and Cümbüş plays the recording in reverse. The next player imitates the reversed version, the app reverses that again, and the table guesses the song.
How many players do I need?
You can add up to 12 players. Impostor and Say It Backwards need at least 3, and Describe It needs at least 4 (two teams). Add players from the Play tab.
What is free, and what does the Full Pack unlock?
All three games are free with no round limits: 6 categories in each game (about 1,000 words, cards and songs in total) and 1 category of your own. Cümbüş Full Pack, a one-time purchase, unlocks 28 more categories (more than 2,700 words, cards and songs in all) and unlimited categories of your own. There is no subscription, and Family Sharing is on. The Full Pack screen only opens when you tap a locked category.
How do I restore my purchase?
Go to Settings → Restore purchase. The same button is on the Full Pack screen. The Full Pack comes back on the Apple Account that bought it, and for family members through Family Sharing.
How do I change family mode?
In Settings → Content · family mode, choose Family, General or Adult. Family is the default and only shows content that suits everyone; Adult also unlocks 18+ categories such as Gece Hayatı (Nightlife). Changing the level asks for the phone’s passcode or Face ID; on a phone without a passcode, a simple sum is asked instead.
Say It Backwards asks for the microphone. What if I said no?
The microphone is used only in Say It Backwards, and permission is asked the first time you open it. If you said no, turn it on in the iPhone’s Settings → Cümbüş → Microphone. Recordings never leave the phone and are deleted when the round ends.
How do I hide a word, and get hidden words back?
In a game, tap “Don’t show this word again” (cards and songs have the same option). Hidden items are counted in Settings → Hidden words, and “Bring them all back” lets them all come up in games again. Words don’t repeat until the pool runs out anyway.
What language is the content in?
The interface is in English and Turkish; change it in Settings → Language (System, Türkçe, English). Game content (words, cards and songs) is in Turkish only for now, so the games are made for Turkish speakers.
Do I need the internet?
No. The games work offline. The App connects to the App Store only while the Full Pack screen is open and when you restore your purchase.
Where are my scores saved? Can I move them to a new phone?
Player names, scores, badges, your own categories and your settings are saved only on your phone, and deleting the App deletes them. There is no sync, so they don’t move to a new phone, but you can restore the Full Pack there. To start over, use “Reset scores” on the scoreboard.
Does Cümbüş collect my data?
No. There is no account, no server, no analytics, no ads and no tracking, and its App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”. See the Privacy Policy.
