This Privacy Policy explains how Flatleaf (the “App”) handles information. The App is developed and published by Busra Hekimoglu, an independent developer publishing as NoxTri (“we”, “us”). It applies to the App on iPhone and iPad.
Flatleaf has no account, no servers, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. The pages you scan, the recognized text, your quotes and your settings are stored only on your device, and we never see them. Scanning, text recognition and PDF creation happen on your device. A file or quote card leaves your device only when you send it through the iOS share sheet.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller for the information described here is Busra Hekimoglu, the developer who publishes Flatleaf as NoxTri. You can reach us at support@logventure.net.
2. What stays on your device
The App keeps the following only in a local database on your device:
- your books and the names you give them;
- the images and thumbnails of the pages you scan or import;
- the text recognized on each page and where each line sits on the page (for searchable PDFs);
- your quotes, the page numbers you type and the card themes you choose;
- your settings (text recognition language, appearance, whether to show the Flatleaf mark).
There is no iCloud sync in this version: the data is not copied to your other devices and is never sent to us. It may be included in your device’s own backup (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) if you have one turned on; Apple and you manage those backups. Delete page, Delete book and swiping a quote away delete them from your device. Deleting the App removes all of its data from that device.
3. Camera and photos
The App uses the camera only for the system document camera that opens with Scan with camera; iOS asks for camera access the first time you choose it. Import from Photos opens the iOS photo picker, so the App receives only the photos you pick and does not ask for access to your photo library. The App does not change or delete anything in your photo library. You can turn camera access off at any time in iOS Settings › Flatleaf.
4. What happens on your device
Finding and straightening the page edges is done by Apple’s VisionKit, text recognition (English and Turkish) by Apple’s Vision framework, and splitting two-page spreads, PDFs and quote cards by the App itself, all on your device. Your pages and text are not sent to us, to Apple or to anyone else to do this.
5. Exporting and sharing
Export creates a PDF, text or Markdown file on your device, and Share card creates a quote card image. They go only where you choose in the iOS share sheet (for example Files, Mail or a messaging app), and the privacy policy of the app or service you choose applies there. A quote card carries an optional small “Flatleaf” mark, which you can turn off with Show Flatleaf mark.
6. No account, servers, ads, analytics or tracking
Flatleaf has no account or sign-in, and the App has no servers of its own. It contains no advertising, analytics, crash reporting or tracking tools, and no third-party SDKs. It does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, so it never asks for App Tracking Transparency permission. Its App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”. If you have chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may pass anonymous crash reports to us under its own privacy policy.
7. Purchases
Flatleaf Pro is sold by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment, and we never see your payment details or your Apple Account details. To unlock the Pro features, the App asks StoreKit on your device whether you have an active Pro purchase; Restore purchases asks Apple again. StoreKit reaching the App Store is the App’s only network connection.
8. Children
Flatleaf is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the App collects no personal information from anyone.
9. Your rights
Under laws such as the GDPR or KVKK you have the right to access, correct and delete your data and to object to its processing. Because the App’s data stays on your device, you can see, change and delete it directly in the App; we hold no data about you. If you email us, you can exercise your rights over that email by writing to support@logventure.net. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Türkiye, the Personal Data Protection Authority, KVKK).
10. Changes to this policy
If the App changes in a way that affects your privacy (for example, if iCloud sync is added), we will update this page and the “Last updated” date before that change is released.
11. Contact
Questions about this policy: support@logventure.net. Contact support in Settings opens the Mail app. If you email us, we use your email address and what you write only to reply to you, for as long as needed.
